It was in 1299 when Pałac Wojanów has been mentioned in the sources for the first time. In those days it belonged to von Zedlitz lineage up until 1727, with a short break between 1540 and 1548 when its proprietors were members of the aristocratic Silesian dynasty of Schaffgotsch. The Palace was founded by Nikolaus von Zedlitz und Nimmersatt in 1603. Unfortunately it was ruined and lost its charm during the Thirty Year´s War. It was then rebuilt by Christopher von Zedlitz in1667. After 1727 Wojanów estate often changed its proprietors. It is worth mentioning one of the owners, a Secret Court Counsellor- Ike. It was him who decided to change all interior layouts of the building and rebuild it according to new arrangements. This meant adding additional floor and raising the turrets. He had the walls ornamented with an English New Gothic style fretwork. Due to his family arrangements Ike left Wojanów and moved to the Polish Kingdom in 1839. Wojanów estate was then acquired by Frederick Wilhelm III, who remembered it from his previous frequent visits to Jelenia Góra Basin. He presented it as a wedding gift to his beloved daughter Louise and Prince Frederick of the Netherlands (Frederick van Oranje-Nassau). Thanks to them the estate acquired a beautiful scenic park. They also changed the façade of the main building to a New Gothic style. In 1889 Wojanów was inherited by their daughter Maria zu Wied. She had the Palace refurbished and sold it to Karl Krieg in 1908. Consul Kurt Effenberg became the next proprietor and he remained one until 1945. During the World War II the estate was inhabited by the Prisoners of War who worked in paper factory in Dąbrowica. The Palace remained intact during World War II, however, just after its end, it was robbed and all valuable things were either destroyed or stolen.

After the war it was exploited as the base of State Agricultural Farm and then as a guest house. In those days there was not much attention paid to its condition and it became neglected. In 1995 Pałac Wojanów was bought by an Italian company who attempted to renovate it. Unfortunately the company did not succeed in its efforts as the Palace was burnt in 2002. Since 2005 Pałac Wojanów belongs to Pałac Wojanów Ltd. The entire estate: the main Palace building, the side buildings as well as its park, has now been thoroughly refurbished and renovated. Finally in 2007 it became a conference and training centre with sporting and recreation facilities, as well as a SPA Centre.

The Wojanów Palace offers accommodation in 92 luxurious suites and comfortable rooms.
Spacious rooms in the palace are decorated with antique furniture offering privacy and an exclusive ambiance. Rooms in the neighboring buildings provide a comfortable leaving space in rooms decorated in a local style. Situated in the central part of the palace, Garden Restaurant welcomes guests with beautiful Renaissance interiors from the times when Princess Louisa and Prince Frederick of the Netherlands owned the estate. The restaurant opens up to the grand terrace with beautiful views over the historical park and Karkonosze Mountains. In such harmonious surrounding you can taste restaurant specialties prepared by our Head Chef and relish fine wines and other alcohols. Under a ribbed vault of the Chestnut Restaurant located in a historical building on the Stable we will serve gala dinner fro 200 guests, organize reception party for up to 400 persons and during sunny days we will invite you for a refreshing drinks or a barbeque.

Beautifully renovated Wojanowska Room with 230 square meters and Karkonowska Room with 50 square meters featured with natural light and equipped with modern multi-media/audio-visual technology and the Internet access are an ideal venue to host a conference or company incentives. At the foyer, with its 69 square meters, you can organize various coffee breaks, cocktail parties and exhibitions. Colorful wall paintings create a unique atmosphere and add a special charm to the Ball Room. It all creates an ideal scene to host an important business meeting or a gala dinner.
