Raemoir House Hotel, is a beautiful, privately owned and run Scottish country house hotel close to Aberdeen, in the glorious landscape of Royal Deeside. The Georgian mansion house sits in wide parkland, a mile to the north of Banchory in easy reach of all the famous Victorian Aberdeenshire tourist attractions.

The main house, was built in 1817 but extensively developed in the Victorian age, when Balmoral was first becoming known as the favourite retreat of the Royal Family. It is still popular with them today. HRH Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall and Rothsay regularly escape the limelight to enjoy the fresh air and countryside of Aberdeenshire. Raemoir House is constructed from the traditional and typical Aberdeenshire granite that is so famously bright in the sunlight that Aberdeen is known as the silver city.

Additional to the 14 bedrooms in the main house, there are a further 6 located in the even older building known as the Ha’ Hoose. This grade 1 listed building dates to 1715. This name derives from the term Hall House, it was in fact the main Raemoir house until the larger one was built directly in front of it 100 years later - before the days of planning permission. Our superior room category includes Dunnottar, Crathes, Dunecht, all offer a view over the front lawn, and are particularly spacious and bright.

Accommodation
Our 18 ensuite bedrooms, sleeping 34 guests, are individually decorated to allow all the comfort and relaxation expected of such a grand House and each is provided with flat screen digital TV, complimentary wi-fi access and its own service items. There are 14 rooms in the Main House, with an additional 4 in the 300 year old “Ha’ Hoose”.
The House also has the flexibility to accommodate larger numbers if required.

The tree lined drive opens out to reveal 10 acres of lawn and parkland, making the hotel an ideal retreat for guests holidaying with dogs. We welcome well behaved dogs at Raemoir and only exclude them from the dining areas.
A permanent white ‘H’ is also clearly marked on the lawn to guide private helicopters in to land. With Aberdeen having the busiest civilian heliport in the world, this is well used and always exciting to see.

The Raemoir has consistently held 2 AA rosettes for its food since 1996 and with Scottish Chef of the Year finalist David Littlewood at the helm the quality of cuisine continues to be of the highest standard. An A la Carte Bar menu is available at lunchtime and in the evening and there is also a Table d’Hote option in the dining room every evening. Non-residents are more than welcome for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Our afternoon teas are very popular. We can provide anything from a cup of tea or coffee with homemade shortbread to a more sumptuous offering including sandwiches, scones with homemade jam and Champagne. Pure indulgence.

With our team of experts boasting a total of more 40 years experience of running private functions, eleven secluded acres of rolling lawns and parkland – and the privacy they offer - unique photo-shoot opportunities, your own dedicated planner free of charge, a civil ceremony licence and the House all to yourselves, there is no better location for your special day.
If you`re looking for a particularly intimate present for your partner we can even provide the bride, or the groom for that matter, the opportunity of a session with a private photographer for a Raemoir Boudoir photo-shoot.
The Raemoir staff are experienced event hosts and can assist with all enquiries. We have a choice of rooms for your ceremony, reception, dinner and, of course, photographs. We can accommodate up to 70 inside the hotel or more in our marquee.

To make the most of this magnificent setting we can offer the hotel as exclusive use for up to 36 resident guests with a House Party Package for 1 night or 2 nights inclusive of wedding dinner.
